I wouldn't like me if I met me -- weird lyrics for sure, coming from a pair of identical twins. Said song, "You Wouldn't Like Me," is the first cut off Tegan and Sara Quin's breakthrough disc, 2004's So Jealous. Resembling a twenty-something Heart with a serious Strokes crush, the duo conscripted indie royalty John Collins (the New Pornographers) and Matt Sharp (Weezer and the Rentals) to help sculpt an album of spiky yet heart-warmed pop that distanced it from its folky, Lilith Fair roots. In the past few years, Tegan and Sara have toured with everyone from the Pretenders to Hot Hot Heat, and they're on their way to hook up with the Killers for a junket through the U.S. this spring. Catch them headlining mid-sized rooms like the Bluebird while you can; they may allude to not liking themselves very much, but the rest of the world is disagreeing in droves.
