This weekend is ready to grab you by the hand and whirl you around on a dance floor or three. The party lineup is looking gloriously funky and melodic, from DJ Mu$a's celebration of black music tonight at Euphoria to the one-year anniversary of the Massive Reggae party at Funky Buddha. Wait, there's more: A new funk/soul after-hours club will debut Saturday night, a slew of female MCs, artists, DJs and designers will join Nitty ScottMC on stage tomorrow night at Cervantes', So What!'s going down, and there's so much more. DJ Mu$a will be celebrating the sounds of black musicians with four-plus hours of blues, jazz, soul, funk R&B and more at Euphoria tonight. $5 cover before 11, $7 after. Expect to be taken on a journey through the music of the most poignant black figures.

Over at Funky Buddha, the Massive Reggae collective, featuring DJ Uplifter and Da Teacha will celebrate the one-year anniversary of their reggae party. Join the Dubwise Collective, Rock Brook Inc Dispensary DJ T-Roy from New Orleans and more for tons of drink specials, no cover, and a world of music.

Cola Divalyrics, Jessica Jones and Harold Jamez will be rocking in Aurora at Du Rozz Restaurant & Lounge at For the Love of Music. $10 at the door, $15 for couples, DJ Timeko T and DJ SD will provide the night's music. Hosted by J. Meezy (From Roots 2 Rap).

Beauty Bar will host So What! the super-ill dance party featuring the sounds of Peter Black, K-nee and Big Styles, This is the Dilla-gence themed party where Dilla will be played all night and guests can enjoy live performances from LadySpeech, Bianca Mikahn, Day Acoli. Free! 21+up

On Saturday, Lotus Dream Emporium (1355 E. 22nd) is kicking off its soul/funk after-hours party, The Love Below. Featuring Mike Blast and DJ Dre on sounds, this sexy get-down begins at midnight and ends at 5 a.m. Cover is $10, and tons of membership packages will be offered.

A slew of fly ladies will gather at Cervantes' Other Side for an all-female art show dubbed FeminiNitty. Nitty ScottMC will be the feature headliner, while Alba Valerdi, Xencs L. Wing, Karma Leigh, Whorebath Clothing and more provide the art. Performances by Venus Cruz, DJ ManIZER, Bella Scratch and tons more. 16+up, $12 at the door.

Mardi Gras shenanigans will commence at Dave & Busters for this multi-floor party. The Collective Events have taken over the spot and are offering free video games, tons of free beads, $5 wells, and live performances by DJ Skeet, P-Nuckle, Hypnautic & King Tef, Megan Page and more. General-admission tickets start at $25.
