Wiz Khalifa announced today that he will partner with Denver-based RiverRock Cannabis on an exclusive line of cannabis products. This is the first collaboration of its kind that the multi-platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist has done, though Khalifa has long been associated with marijuana culture, titling his 2011 debut Rolling Papers

According to a statement, Khalifa's partnership with RiverRock will result in "curated strains, infused products and concentrates," and will launch on April 20 (go figure), with a rollout continuing through 2016. “These products have taken years to perfect,” Khalifa says. “I’m really excited to finally share them with the public and to work with RiverRock to raise awareness and end cannabis prohibition nationwide.”

The Pittsburgh native has long been a supporter of cannabis-law reform and marijuana legalization, and just renewed his partnership with RAW Rolling Papers as well.

Khalifa has also been a longtime fan of Colorado, notably sharing a bill with Snoop Dogg (who also has his own line of cannabis products) at the 2014 4/20 celebration at Red Rocks. Based in Denver, collaborator RiverRock Cannabis has two dispensaries offering both medical and recreational cannabis.

The news of Khalifa's cannabis line comes at the same time as his announcement of new "project" KHALIFA, which will be released via digital retailers tomorrow, Friday, February 5. Khalifa still plans to release his fifth studio album, Rolling Papers 2, later this year. Watch the video announcement below.
