Denver Police Department release:

On February 8, 2011, at approximately 11:15 p.m., George Lopez was shot to death in the parking lot of Dandy Dan's Gentleman's Club at 214 South Federal Boulevard. An Arrest Warrant has been issued for Benjamin Ray Lucero, dob: 05/13/1988 for Murder in the First Degree. Anyone with information concerning this crime or the whereabouts of Benjamin Lucero is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

Update, 7:34 a.m.: The man who died from gunshot wounds received in the parking lot of Dandy Dan's topless club has been identified by the Denver coroner's office as George Valenzuela-Lopez, 34.

"The cause of death is complications of multiple gunshot wounds," the release states. "The manner of death is homicide." Look below for our earlier coverage of this crime.

Original item, February 9, 1:31 p.m.: Last night at Dandy Dan's, a South Federal strip club, a pair of men got into an altercation in the parking lot -- and only one of them left alive.

Denver Police haven't ID'd the victim, but they have a description of the suspect who fled the scene after shots were fired.

Denver Police Department release:

On February 8, 2011, at 11:45 p.m., Denver Police responded to a call of a party shoot in the parking lot of 214 S. Federal Blvd. Through the investigation, Detectives learned two men were involved in an altercation with an unknown male. During the altercation, the unknown male shot one of the men.

Paramedics transported the victim to Denver Health Medical Center where he later died.

The suspect fled the area on foot. He is described as a Hispanic Male, 5'06" to 5'08", 150 to 180 pounds, wearing all black clothing, last seen running East on West Cedar Avenue.
