Yes, we know that 4/20 isn't until next Monday — but most of the big events will take place this coming weekend, if not sooner. In fact, the Mile High City might never be higher than it is over the next few days; keep reading for a hit of our  Cannabis Calendar.

Journalist and author Bruce Barcott will discuss his new book, about the movement to legalize cannabis and the first states to do so, Weed the People, at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, at the Denver Press Club. Admission is free. Click here for more information.

For those of you who missed the CannaGrow Expo, Horticulture 360 is a conference for green thumbs on Tuesday, April 14, and Wednesday, April 15, at the Denver Mart. Tuesday is for participating businesses only; the public can check out cultivation vendors, glass shows and educational talks on growing starting at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Starting on Wednesday, April 15, Entertainment 4/20 is a five-day tour for anyone 21+ trying to submerge themselves in this week's festivities. For $399, you get to tour a dispensary and grow operation, as well as access to the BIG Industry Trade Show closing party and World Cannabis Week Welcome Party and one day at the High Times Cannabis Cup. It also comes with VIP access to the 420 Rally and admission to the 420 in the Streets concert featuring Method Man, RedMan and Cypress Hill. Click here for more information.

Want to meet some Denver City Council candidates? NORML's Denver headquarters will host a meet-and-greet with cannabis-friendly candidates Kayvan Khalatbari, Chris Chiari and Aaron Greco at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, at 3888 East Mexico Avenue. Click here to learn more.

Green Labs will be hosting two of its Sushi and Joint-Rolling classes this week on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18. Immersion 4/20 will be a week-long event starting Friday, April 17, for anyone with deep pockets trying to fully embrace the pot industry. Part of World Cannabis Week in Colorado, Immersion 4/20 features VIP access to the 420 Rally, dispensary and grow tours, tickets to the Marijuana Investors Summit, three days of hands-on cannabis workshops, one day at the High Times Cannabis Cup and admission to the 420 in the Streets concert featuring Method Man, RedMan, and Cypress Hill. Want to get an early start to 4/20 weekend? Green Labs will be hosting a coffee and cannabis course at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 18 for $40 per person. Any stoner MacGyvers out there wanting to show of their creativity should check out the Hack-a-Bong competition at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 at LaMark 15. Contestants will try to create smoking accessories from everyday products or hack a pre-existing smoking accessory. The event will end with a burlesque show, and costs $10 ($15 at the door) to attend and $30 in advance to compete ($35 at the door). Teams of up to four can enter. Ladybud Magazine will be hosting a relaunch party Saturday, April 18, at Point Gallery featuring art, raffles, live music and dancing to honor the cannabis publication's second anniversary. The party will start at 7:30 p.m. and costs for $40 for general admission and $150 for VIP access. Click here to learn more.

Colorado is just as popular for its craft beer as its cannabis, so participating in a 4/20 pub crawl almost makes too good of sense. Taking place on Saturday, April 18 at 3 p.m. and Monday, April 20, at 5 p.m., the #YesWeCannabis PubCrawl will give you a cup, wristband and map to guide you around Denver brew bars featuring food and drink specials for $1 per day. On April 18 and 19, iBAKE Denver will be hosting a VIP party and hotel packages coordinating with the High Times Cannabis Cup. The smoking club is only three blocks from the Cannabis Cup and will offer limousine rides to and from as part of one the hotel packages. The Denver 420 Rally will be back at Civic Center Park April 18 and 19. Rick Ross will headline the free concert at 4:20 p.m. Sunday, and there will be numerous political rallies throughout the weekend. The 4/20 Festival Tour is another tour for the holiday weekend. Meet near the intersection of 15th and Welton Streets at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 18 or 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 19. Sample flower, edibles and wax as you tour two dispensaries, a growing operation and a glass shop. After that, you'll be dropped off at the 420 Rally, which is free to attend. Tickets are $110 each until 12 hours before the tour, when they will be raised to $135. Learn more here.

The High Times Cannabis Cup will return to Denver April 18-20 at the Denver Mart. It will feature a concert at Red Rocks, more than 700 vendors and three levels of VIP experiences. Also, the Grateful Dead will be inducted into the High Times Counterculture Hall of Fame, with drummer Bill Kreutzmann giving a speech and signing books. Tickets range from $45 (single-day) to $175 (three days and a concert), and there are VIP packages available for $420. Click here for more information. 18+

Recreational Marijuana: Colorado at the Forefront is a one-day conference at the Renaissance Downtown Hotel on Monday, April 20. Starting at 8 a.m., attorneys, MED officials, Colorado State Senator Pat Steadman and other speakers will be giving presentations throughout the day. Tickets are $595 each. 420 in the Streets— a concert featuring pot-loving artists Method Man, Redman, Cypress Hill, Collie Buddz and Dizzy Wright— will take place at Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom on Monday, April 20. Scamper over to the Monkey Bar on Monday, April 20, for a special Monkey’n Around 4/20 Comedy Showcase. Admission is free; the show starts at 8 p.m. at 1112 Santa Fe Drive.

Starting Sunday, April 19, at noon, the Crowne Plaza at DIA will host MedMJ Denver— a two-day conference for healthcare professionals who want to learn more about medical marijuana. There will be expert speakers on topics such as the endocannabinoid system, post traumatic stress disorder and cannabis industry regulation. If you find yourself wondering how much money can be made in pot after enjoying all the expensive festivities this weekend, check out the three-day Cannabis Investor Summit at Crowne Plaza DIA, which will run from Monday, April 20, to Wednesday, April 22. The conference will feature keynote speakers, networking opportunities and tours of cannabis businesses. Tickets start at $695, with luncheons, after parties and other events available for extra.
