Police impersonators tend to be delusional types. Remember the Colorado Springs man who tried to pull people over in a 1995 Cadillac equipped with a white strobe light? He'd likely identify with the mustached man who patted down and cuffed a bystander at a Colfax bus stop while clad in a Hawaiian shirt. Does this guy think he's Magnum P.I.? Maybe, even though he's in his fifties, has gray hair and is just five-eight. Dream on, pal. Get more details from the Denver Police Department release below:

Denver Police want the community to be aware of an incident involving a police impersonator. [Monday] at 12:30 p.m., the suspect approached a man while he stood at the bus stop at Colfax Avenue and Corona Street. The suspect told the victim he was under arrest and handcuffed him behind his back. The suspect patted the victim down and asked him where he lived. When the victim started questioning the suspect as to whom he was, the suspect showed a badge on a chain hanging around his neck for a second and told the victim he was a police officer. When the victim began to protest, the suspect took the handcuffs off the victim and walked away, last seen South bound in the 1400 block of Corona St. He did not have a radio and no vehicle was seen.

The suspect was described as a White male, in his 50's, 5'8", 170-pounds, Short Gray Hair and Mustache, Wearing a Hawaiian Type Multi-Color Shirt, Blue Jeans and had a Gray Bag on a Sling Over his Shoulder.
