Plenty of people may hate "Mustang," the late artist Luis Jiminez's foreboding, fire-eyed demon steed that haunts Denver International Airport -- but the best-hung horse in the state certainly carries his weight, financially speaking. This week's Off-Limits column reports that the blue spectre's value has escalated from $650,000 at the time of its installation to approximately $2 million today.
The appraisal that produced this estimate also generated an unexpected bonus: numerous photos of the Mustang before it was put together (and prior to it falling on and killing Jiminez). To view a slideshow of these chunks of horse flesh, click here.
