At just shy of 3 a.m. on Sunday morning, the Denver Police Department received a call about a violent argument. But it involved more than that. Cops found a woman who'd been stabbed, and she soon succumbed to her wounds.

Now, Deon Porchia has been arrested in relation to what has become a homicide investigation.

At this point, no mug shot of Porchia, 46, has been released, and Detective John White, speaking for the DPD, declines to spell out the relationship between the suspect and the thus-far-unidentified victim.

As a result, we know only that a verbal altercation on the 1500 block of Uintah Street turned became physical, as the woman's wounds make abundantly clear.
