In an "Extra!" side channel item from today's Rocky Mountain News, Lynn Kimbrough, spokeswoman for Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey (pictured), expresses her displeasure at an online headline affixed to a story announcing that her boss might receive a $32,000 boost in pay. "I don't want to sound like I'm whining, but I really think a headline that reads 'DA poised to get $32,000 raise next year' is not very fair," she's quoted as saying. "Maybe my headline is 'Denver DA poised to catch up on lost salary from last four years.' Obviously that's not going to be the headline, but I'm bringing a little different perspective."
So... what headline appeared on the Morrissey report in the print edition? "Denver DA Could Get $32,000 Raise."
Quite an improvement, eh? -- Michael Roberts
