On October 30, 2009, an Officer from the Northglenn Police Department returned to his residence in Northglenn to find it had been burglarized. The Officer was off duty at the time of the burglary. The responding officers found forced entry into the residence through a window. Several items of value were stolen from the residence to include the Officers Glock 26 handgun with a full magazine, laptop computer, and a television. Keys for a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser belonging to a friend, were also taken from inside the residence and then used to steal the vehicle from the driveway. Police uniforms and equipment were in the residence and were not stolen. The case is currently under investigation, any witnesses are asked to contact the Northglenn Police Department Investigations section at 303-450-8893.The stolen PT Cruiser is described as a 2005 blue convertible with high performance rims and tires. No license plates were on the vehicle at the time of the theft.
