Update, 6:50 a.m.:The Denver Police Department reports that Jacob Joseph Medina was captured without incident at approximately 4 p.m. yesterday at a business in northwest Denver. Look below to read our original item about the search for Medina, published on March 26.

The Denver Police Department has been doing such a good job of rounding up criminals on its recently announced roster of fifty most-wanted fugitives -- click to see the entire mug-shot gallery -- that it's losing track of the numbers.

Yesterday, the department announced that it had captured No. 27, Mandi M. Sanchez, and No. 5, Clay Garcia-Baeza. Actually, though, Garcia-Baeza was No. 4 -- and given how hard he undoubtedly worked to hit that spot, don't shortchange him, okay? (Information about other listees captured to date is available here.)

Now, however, the DPD has put out a call for someone who didn't make the final cut: Jacob Joseph Medina, formally identified as a sexually violent predator. Get more information about him, and check out photos and details about the capture of Sanchez and Garcia-Baeza below:

The Fugitive Location Apprehension Group (FLAG) along with several other Metro Area Law Enforcement agencies are continuing to look for the fugitives identified on the 50 Most Wanted list. Yesterday, Mandi M. Sanchez (# 27) was arrested in Denver in the 1300 block of Downing Street, without incident. She had an active warrant out of Jefferson County for Forgery, Vehicle Theft and various drug charges. Clay Garcia-Baeza (#5) was arrested last night in the 4300 block of West Florida Avenue. Garcia-Baeza was wanted on an outstanding warrant issued from Jefferson County for Distribution of Drugs.
