Radio row at the Pepsi Center is in the main corridor on the arena's second level, a single escalator ride away from the lobby, near where Nuggets fans can usually get their Dippin' Dots -- which, if you didn't realize it, is the space-age ice cream. Denver stations have some of the best spots, with KOA/850-AM right up front. When I stopped by to say hello to Morning News co-host Steffan Tubbs, the subject of a 2005 Westword profile, he was all smiles -- but he conceded that he's run into plenty of folks of late who have been unable to turn that frown upside-down. A lot of people are complaining about the DNC, he said during a break in the program that partners him with April Zesbaugh -- grousing about the traffic, the street closures, the confusion, the incessant focus on politics. But in his view, the convention is great for the city of Denver "and it's going by so fast. It'll be over before you know it."
Remind yourself of that, curmudgeons. -- Michael Roberts
