Pass the lutefisk! Do those Minnesotans know how to party, or what?

Last week, Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty signed a bill that will let local municipalities push back closing time from 2 a.m. until 4 a.m. at bars across the seven-county Twin Cities area -- but just from August 31 to September 5, which conveniently aligns with the Republican National Convention.

There was talk about a similar measure in the Denver metro area, where the Democrats will meet a week earlier, but it dried up. As our bars will continue to come 1:59 a.m. -- Patricia Calhoun measure
