You'd think Lindsey Vonn's Facebook note about taking part in a Tim Tebow Foundation fundraiser this weekend would have been a hot news item about the Colorado skiing phenom/marketing marvel. After all, she had to tweet that Tebow hadn't broken up her marriage as recently as December. But no: The message that's getting all the attention involves her paying off $1.7 million in taxes.

According to an Associated Press report featured in the Vail Daily, the Internal Revenue Service placed a tax lien on Vonn and her estranged hubby, Thomas, this past month. A big lien.

Now, however, the bill has been paid. Here's Vonn's take:

I am disappointed with this situation. I just recently became aware of the outstanding balance and I have done everything in my power to settle it immediately. The money owed was for the 2010 tax year, which was filed on time, and it has been paid in full. This is an important lesson for me. Not being in control of my finances and relying on someone else who you believed had your best interest at heart was a mistake and one I will not make twice. Lv

Vonn's spokesman confirmed to the AP that her boss' IRS troubles are done. So now we can move on to more important Facebook shares...like this:

Last night's fund raiser for the Tim Tebow Foundation was amazing! Over 500k was raised for some incredible kids! So inspiring! Now it's time for the golf tournament... Xo Lv

By the way, the golf tournament took place in Jacksonville, as Tebow noted in a Facebook post of his own. But if anyone can convince The Chosen One to make another visit to Colorado, it's Ms. Vonn.

If she's nice, maybe he'll give her a loan.
