Love him or hate him, you can't deny that Mike Rosen has always been a pro. And expect the same today when the consummate radio talk-show host signs off after a long Denver career; his final show airs on KOA at 85 AM from 1 to 3 p.m. After that, Rosen will do political commentary and the occasional weekend fill-in.

"Doing my brand of radio, with 24/7 research and show prep, takes a work week of more than 60 hours. After 35 years on-air, I've decided to give myself a little more well-earned leisure time as I pass my 71st birthday," Rosen said in KOA's announcement of the move earlier this month.

On January 4, Mandy Connell, who took over Peter Boyles's morning spot on KHOW in 2013, will move into Rosen's slot. And who will replace her? Ross Kaminsky, who snagged our Best Radio Talk-Show Host award in 2012 when he was doing a Sunday show and serving as an occasional fill in. Good move.
"I'm very happy and proud to let you know that starting Monday, January 4, 2016, I'll be the new host of the morning drive radio show (6 AM to 10 AM, with recorded 5 AM hour) on Denver's Talk Station, TalkRadio 630 KHOW," Kaminsky writes on rossputin.com, his website. "My good friend Mandy Connell will be taking over on KOA NewsRadio for the semi-retiring Mike Rosen who will continue to have a show on Saturday mornings. So many big changes going on at the radio stations and for me. I hope you'll be a regular listener!"

Kaminsky will interview Rosen on his final Saturday show this weekend. "I owe him a lot," he says.
