Aurora Police Detectives have arrested two individuals on charges related to the shooting that left one man dead at the Montview Bar and Grill on July 22, 2009.
Gerome Brooks, DOB: 06.20.1984 is on a no bond hold at the Adams County Jail on charges of 1st Degree Homicide, Criminal Attempt 1st Degree Homicide, 1st Degree Assault, and Possession of a Weapon by a Previous Offender.
Welton L. Harris, DOB: 12.15.1979 was booked into the Adams County Jail on the charge of Accessory to Murder. He has a $5000.00 bond.
Detectives do not anticipate additional arrests on this case, however, anyone with information on this case is asked to call Detective Stowell at 303.739.6079.

Major Crimes/Homicide detectives are releasing the name of the fatally wounded victim of the triple shooting at the Montview Bar and Grill early Tuesday morning.
The victim has been identified as 50 year old Allen Pounds. He was shot multiple times. The Adams County Coroner's Office has declared his death a homicide.
The other two victims survived their wounds. One remains hospitalized locally, and the other has been released.
Detectives are continuing to follow up leads, but have no suspect information available at this time

Aurora, Colo. - During the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 22, 2009, Patrol Officers responded to the scene of a shooting at an Aurora bar that left one person dead and two others seriously injured.
Shortly before 1a.m., Aurora Police Officers responded to a call for help at the Montview Bar and Grill located at the corner of Montview Blvd and Nome St. Responding officers arrived, however, the victims and the suspect had already left the area. Officers located witnesses, contacted area hospitals and secured the large crime scene.
Major Crimes/Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) were requested and responded to lead the investigation. Detectives arrived and interviewed a number of witnesses, collected evidence and began tracking down early leads in the case.
During the course of ensuing investigation, detectives learned that prior to the shooting a physical altercation occurred inside the bar between two women. Following the fight, one of the female principals of the dispute was seen attempting to leave the bar with two men. As they attempted to drive away in a vehicle, the suspect pointed a gun at them and fired it multiple times. All three occupants were hit by gunfire.
The driver managed to drive himself and the two passengers to a local hospital. One of the victims, an adult male who has yet to be identified, later died at the hospital. The second and third victims are expected to survive.
At this early stage of the investigation detectives are only describing the shooter as a male.
