Centennial's Missy Franklin has had a busy week, what with attending the Olympics closing ceremony in London and giving people a reason to watch the Tonight show for the first time in forever -- not to mention starting her senior year at Regis Jesuit High School. But she still managed to squeeze in a little tat time.

And here's the photo that accompanied it: Five Olympic rings, five medals. There's a certain symmetry to that.

Somehow, Regis managed to keep cameras out of the hallways and classrooms for Franklin's first day back on campus yesterday -- a contrast to her Colorado return earlier this week, when videographers greeted her at the airport and even in her neighborhood. As you'll see in the Fox31 clips below, she was unfailingly chipper and polite to everyone she encountered -- an achievement that only enhances those four golds and a bronze.

And she'll be in the local spotlight again tomorrow. Fox31 notes that Franklin will attend a community celebration at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Center Park, 13050 East Peakview Avenue. Other local Olympians have also been invited, but you can bet Missy will be in the center ring, as it were.
