The Aurora Police Department Facebook page keeps followers up to date on the latest events.

But it also highlights galleries of vivid photos from its past, which we've shared in a series of posts from the past few years featuring badass Aurora cops from the 1950s, 1970s and 1980s.

But, as you math majors have no doubt noticed, something was missing: a tribute to badass Aurora cops from the 1960s.

Fortunately, the collection of shots from that decade are just as remarkable, including the one above, which highlighted the Aurora Police Reserve Program, which was formed in 1968 and retired thirty years later due to "increased training costs, mandated training and accreditation standards that had a fiscal impact on the department."
