Reader: "Is Same-Sex Marriage All You People Think About?"

With all that is going on in the world, is same-sex marriage (a clear oxymoron) all you people think about? It is so boring anymore.

Josh Pollack, owner of Rosenberg's Bagels & Delicatessen, is wrong in trying to replicate the New York water. More specifically, it's the East River water, and besides all of the minerals and stuff mentioned, he left out the particles of concrete from dumping all the dead bodies that the Mafia leaves in the river each year, starting before Prohibition.

And you can never replicate that. Except maybe the Detroit River.

So great that this place is in Denver and in Five Points. As I read this, I'm counting off 35 hours, 49 minutes until Josh opens Rosenberg's, and I'm there, visions of "Ronnie's Favorite" front and center.

Gustavo: At first I thought your writing was an interesting way to clear up questions people have about people of Mexican heritage. I am disappointed to say it appears that your writing has become something else. Instead of being well-intentioned and entertaining, I find your writing has transformed into something that propagates negative feelings and stereotypes, something you claim to be against. As a person of mixed race and background, I can objectively tell you that your writing nowadays is riddled with hateful speak and obvious negative messages to people you feel have wronged you. May I respectfully remind you that you must be the change you want to see in the world, and that propagating hateful speak and rhetoric because you have been subjected to it in the past only assures that it will never go away?

I am a mix of Native American, Hispanic and European; however, if you were to see me on the street, most would assume that I am white. This puts me in the unique position to have experienced racism from whites, blacks, Hispanics, Natives, Asians, and every other color person on this earth, and let me tell you, it is equally as hurtful from every direction.

We must be the change that allows people to forget the mistake of prejudice that has been handed down from generation to generation, and we must face hate with an iron-clad resolution to not let it take us over and multiply in us. A baby is not born with prejudice; it is taught it by the people around it. This connection must be severed, and we will all be better off for it.
