A recent Comment of the Day claiming that Nebraska and Oklahoma are ass-backward about marijuana was prompted by the U.S. Supreme Court's decision not to hear a lawsuit filed by the states against Colorado over Amendment 64.

A reader subsequently offered a strong argument for why Nebraska's anger at cannabis from Colorado coming over the state line is hypocritical.

Specifically, one Nebraska town features liquor stores located along the border of South Dakota's Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, where alcohol consumption and possession are banned.

The community to which the reader refers is Whiteclay. To learn more about its proximity to the reservation and the impact of alcohol sales, click here.

Check out the take in question below.

Seth Valkonen writes:
What's funny is alcohol is not permitted on an Indian reservation in South Dakota so Nebraska opened a few liquor stores and bars right on the border and profits heavily off the people coming across the border to get drunk... So they make enough unethical money to cover said expenses from Colorado. Nebraska is a hypocritical douche.
