Patricia Calhoun recently wrote about the fight over the Bosler House.

The circa 1875 mansion has been battered by the elements, subjected to fines and targeted by a foreclosure action.

As for the owner, he asked for permission to destroy it way back in 2010, pleading economic hardship.

The Bosler's situation inspired a lot of comments from readers, many of whom lament the loss of vintage architecture in favor of fuglier modern abodes.

Here's an example of that viewpoint.

I hope they don't take it down. Highlands and north Denver is already filling with the ugly modern houses that have replaced these few remaining historical homes. Can we please just save some?
