Today's featured Twit is Elisabeth Rappe, a local film blogger who writes for Cinematical. Rappe caught our eye on Twitter (where she can be found as @ElisabethRappe) because she is one of the rare members of that fabled species, the Geek Girl. In other words, she blogs (and tweets) about the kinds of movies we love -- the kind with explosions and mutants and monsters. Like we could possibly resist that! After the jump, get to know her and find out why you should follow her, explained in 140-character bursts.

@DenverWestword: Justify your following. Why should people follow you on Twitter?

@ElisabethRappe: Because I occasionally have smart thoughts about movies, I have amusingly pathetic personal obsessions & I post cute photos of my pug dog.

@DenverWestword: What brought you to Twitter?

@ElisabethRappe: I resisted it for a long time, then a fellow writer told me "People are talking about you on there. They want you to join!" So, paranoia!

@DenverWestword: What do you tweet about usually?

@ElisabethRappe: Movies, misery, pugs & actors who have my heart. I often log on to gifts of photos of Clint Eastwood & pugs so I must be predictable.

@ElisabethRappe: I also tweet about comics but i'm so behind in my reading no one cares.

@DenverWestword: What keeps you busy offline (aka in real life)?

@ElisabethRappe: What offline life? I can only go offline to watch movies for work. But I knit, I do yoga, I walk elliot & dream of a European vacation

@ElisabethRappe: I used to play D&D but I had to quit because I was too busy. Is that good or bad? I'm not even sure.

@DenverWestword: Okay, open tweeting: A chance to say something funny, clever or just to convince doubters to follow you: GO!

@ElisabethRappe: I'm never boring! I may be depressing (chances are you'll feel better about your own life!), I may piss you off, but I'm never boring.

@DenverWestword: Any last tweets before we let you get back to whatever you do when you aren't being interviewed via Twitter?

@ElisabethRappe: I do offer occasional glimpses into the murky world of moviemaking. You may have to sort through a lot of lameness but one shocking day ...

@ElisabethRappe: You'll log on & discover I tweeted a photo of Peter Jackson or am sitting next to Josh Brolin. It's been known to happen, esp. in summertime
