We thought we'd said our last goodbye of the Ski Train as it pulled out of Denver for the final time last month. But it looks like some hardcore rail lovers are chasing the famous orange Denver Rio Grande & Western Ski Train through Illinois as it heads to its new home in Canada. From the video description:
I (along with dozens of other railfans) made a day of chasing the train on May 16, 2009, catching it at Galena IL, Council Hill IL, Scales Mound IL, Warren IL, Freeport IL, Seward IL, and Rockford IL. Luckily there was a speed restriction of 35 MPH, so it was a relatively easy chase.
But how easy would it be to get the Ski Train to turn around?
