The Thong Bandit didn't choose winter to begin his public perversions. DPD reps say they've gotten multiple reports about him dating back as far as July 2012.
Most witnesses say the man works the areas of West 24th to 26th Avenue, from Perry Street to Hooker Street, in the Sloan's Lake neighborhood of North Denver. He's generally seen in alleyways.The man starts out fully clothed, but eventually strips down to a thong. And he doesn't stop there. He then exposes himself and masturbates in full view of passersby.
According to a 9News report, the man stopped his gambit for a few months. However, he was spotted again on four different occasions over the past few weeks, including February 17 and 18.
The suspect has been described as either white or Hispanic, between the ages of 25 and 35. Height: five-eight to six feet. Weight: Between 140 and 170 pounds. He has a slim build, with dark hair -- and on a few occasions, he's sported a beard and glasses.Oh yeah: He tends to have his pants in his hands, rather than where most people usually wear them. And his thong color has changed over time. Initial witnesses said it was pink, but of late, it's been a dark color -- perhaps black.
If you have information about this douchebag, phone Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867), which is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to his arrest and conviction. And while the thought of this is undeniably repulsive, cops would love it if someone got a cell phone video or photo of the guy in the act.
