Plot summary: After one of the containers Geordi and he where checking in cargo-bay crushes seven of Worf's vertebrates, Dr. Crusher and neuro-specialists see no therapy to get him any leg-use again, Klingon medicine having a bias against neuro-research. Worf quickly asks Riker, as his best friend aboard, to assist him in 'hekba', the Klingon suicide for a permanently disabled warrior, to save his and the family's dignity. Crusher's visiting scientific friend Toby Russell proudly shows her an invention in development, the genotronic replicator, which she believes can scan and reproduce the damaged neuro-system even in Worf's case, but he would be the first humanoid test-patient so Crusher is against. Pride makes Worf decline either seeing his son Alexander or trying implants which can restore 60% of his motor-functions. The Enterprise goes assist the USS Denver, with many patients in need of medical help after a Cardassian attack, but after Crusher sees Russell used an experimental drug on one of them has her throw off the ship. Picard pleads to let her return and reconsider the replicator, as Worf can't accept her alternative. Riker finds Klingon tradition dictates the suicide-assistance be left to the closest kin, and even Worf can't ask this from his half-human boy...

Plot summary: Lt. Severide sticks his neck out for Dave Bloom, a fellow firefighter from Denver who is troubled by addiction. Meanwhile, Jones struggles with the knowledge that her father is pressuring Chief Boden about her career path and Mouch's Internet dating profile gets an upgrade with the help of Mills and the guys.

Plot summary: In Cutback, Montana, Kellerman lures the police and Michael and Lincoln abduct the cameraman Greg of Fox News and succeed in escaping from the siege. Michael and Lincoln decide to tape a message to be released in the Breaking News. Mahone is back in Chicago and analyzing the message; he interrogates Greg and he tells that he had overheard Michael tell that they should cover 460 miles in six hours. Mahone deducts that they intend to meet President Caroline in Denver. Wheeler discusses with Mahone and yells that the internal affair asked him to follow all moves of Mahone. Bellick is badly wounded in the infirmary of Fox River. Sucre befriends an old passenger in a bus to Ixtapa; however the driver asks him to leave the bus in a small town and Sucre robs the Volkswagen of the old man. In Algoma, Winsconsin, Haywire befriends a young couple and the girl has bruises on her arm; she tells that her abusive drunken father uses to beat her.

Plot summary: The Harper brothers suddenly see their evil mother Evelyn with another man, Teddy Leopold, a businessman from Denver. Initially Charlie refuses to get attached again. Ma's men tend to disappear, dead or alive, and leave the boys 'orphaned' too often already, but Alan is childishly happy to be invited by private jet for front seats at a Las Vegas boxing match. When Charlie is persuaded to give Teddy a chance, they are both assured that he is the step-dad they want. Alas Evelyn dumps him, as he wants to settle down. She even has another lover, Hugo, who is just 'better endowed' down there, until his health lets him down...

Plot summary: In Cherry Creek, Colorado — a suburb of Denver — middle class families are being murdered in their homes. The houses have been robbed only of small items of monetary worth. The victims have all thus far been traditional families - mother, father and children. The parents are gagged, bound and eventually brutally beaten whereas the children are murdered by an injection of phenobarbital. The nature of the deaths lead the BAU to believe there are two unsubs, a dominant and a submissive, the latter who acts as the angel of mercy in the way he kills the children. Through evidence, the BAU know the unsubs work their way into their victims' houses through a trusted ruse of some sort, and after entry the victims have no way of outside contact since phone lines are cut and cell phone access is blocked. They get a break in the case when in the latest attack, there is one survivor, the teen-aged daughter, Carrie Ortiz. Carrie witnessed the murders and saw the unsubs' faces. Other information Carrie provides is that there are indeed two, a dominant and a submissive, who referred to each other as brothers despite being from different ethnic backgrounds. The BAU also believe that the submissive may have had a reason for not killing Carrie since in this latest attack, they took an item personal to that family. When the BAU believe they've identified the unsubs and the rationale for the murders, they realize they have more to worry about than just finding the unsubs. There are also children in potential harm and an environment unwittingly breeding future killers.



Number 1: Vampire Diaries
Episode: "Heart of Darkness," 2012

Plot summary: Damon and Elena, who this time can't resist him sexually, go see Jeremy in Denver, needing to use his trans-dimensional witches covenant connection to question Rose about the exact vampire bloodlines. They overcome Kol's attempt to stop them, but find Rose already eliminated. Amaric insists that Steafno may not hesitate to torture him until his alter-ego betrays the hiding place of the stakes. Klaus is told about the bloodline threat. Tyler delights Caroline by returning, but feels estranged by the news his hybrid life my be wasted depending on the vampire bloodline. Original mother witch Esther is suspiciously easily vanquished, but actually switched bodies with Rebekah, who was seemingly fooled by falsely flirting Mat.

Elena travels with Damon to Denver with two intentions: first to meet Jeremy to contact Rose to learn her bloodline and also to assess her feelings for Damon. They vanquish Kol, who is close to Jeremy, and Rose tells Jeremy to meet the vampire Mary Porter that may tell them her bloodline. However Kol arrives first and kills Mary. Meanwhile Stefan tries to bring Alaric's alter ego to find where he has hidden the last stake and Klaus uses a drastic method. Caroline meets Tyler but he does not feel good when he sees the drawing that Klaus made for her. Esther meets Rebekah at home and she dies. When Alaric tells the location of the stake in the cave where vampires cannot go, Rebekah goes with him and discloses a surprising secret.
