Number 81: Salsa bar from Tacos Y Salsas

The salsa and accouterments bar at Tacos Y Salsas could conceivably count as several dishes, especially if you're like me and shoot those salsas just like a shot of whiskey. It doesn't matter which Tacos Y Salsas location you hit: They each have the same disheveled set-up, but that's the fault of the "drippers" -- the messy people who shovel the salsas onto their plates, while somehow managing to create a river of red between the onions and the cilantro on their way from bin to bin. Then again, who can blame them for their slovenly ways? This is a salsa bar that's worth raiding, a jumble of rojas and verdes that zigzag from ferociously hot to hellish hot to devilishly blazing -- all of them excellent. Toss a few lime wedges on your plate, some cilantro and hacked onions, maybe a few diced radishes, obviously a couple of pickled jalapenos and a spoonful of pico, and you've got a one-dish dinner.
