Renegade Brewing Company, 925 West Ninth Avenue, will close down the 900 block of West Ninth Avenue for a block party celebrating its two-year anniversary on June 29. The party runs from noon to 10 p.m. tomorrow and features live music from five local bands, including Cousin Jasper, The Stormcellars, The Black Postcards and CP Carrington. The brewery will also offer eight special beers for the event; and there will be food trucks on-site serving up grub. Entrance is free and beers will be sold by the glass; visit the website for more information.

Friday, June 28:

The two-day Epic Beer Festival begins today at the Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th Street. The festival features more than 300 beers from 120 breweries, and tickets are $40; visit the website for more details.

Lucky's Market, 3960 Broadway Street in Boulder, introduced a Friday burger night this month. The gathering features $6 burgers, $2 sides and live music from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Call 303-444-0215 for more details.

Both locations of Marczyk Fine Foods (the original at 770 East 17th Avenue, and the second store at 5100 East Colfax Avenue) continue their Friday Burger Night gatherings from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Niman Ranch burgers with all the fixings are $7.99.

Historians Ale House opens today at 11 a.m. at 24 Broadway. A pre-opening party last night raised thousands of dollars for Children's Hospital.

Saturday, June 29 (continued):

The Lobby has invited City Star Brewing for a seafood boil from 5 to 8 p.m. this evening; $40 tickets include four nine-ounce beers from the brewery and all-you-can-eat crawfish, shrimp, mussels, and clams with fixings. Call the restaurant at 303-997-9911 for more details.

Patxi's Pizza (185 Steele Street and 3455 South University Boulevard) is celebrating Vegan Pizza Day with specials on vegan selections today; both locations will be offering a $2 vegan beer special to accompany their pies. Call 303-783-2000 to learn more.

The Kitchen Denver, 1530 16th Street, is hosting a launch party for the car-sharing program Car2go, which debuts in Denver this weekend. There will be free food, promotions and giveaways from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and guests can drive one of the cars. Call 303-623-3127 for more information.

The Sonic Boom Bike Race takes place in downtown Louisville at 7:45 a.m. today, and Lucky Pie Pizza, 637 Front Street in Louisville, is hosting an after-party at 7 p.m. Check the website for more details.
