Brasserie Felix, a New French Spot on Tennyson, Should Open This Month

In the most recent Bite Me, I mentioned that Brasserie Felix would open soon at 3901 Tennyson Street. But since the restaurant's windows were covered with paper, I didn’t know much more. Last week, though, I got word from owner Danielle Diller, who said she and her husband, Gilles Fabre, are scrambling to get Felix open by the end of the month.

The build out is complete, and they’re currently finalizing the menu: French brasserie — no surprise — doing lunch, brunch, and dinner. They're staffing up for an expected public opening on July 28. “That date is not set in stone,” she reminded me, “but probably doable.”

When it does open, Felix will face some very French competition: Indulge just opened in January a few blocks away, at 4140 West 38th Avenue.-- Jason Sheehan
