Brider, the new fast-casual cafe and rotisserie grill from Steve Redzikowski and Bryan Dayton (the duo responsible for Oak on Fourteenth and Acorn), announced it will have its grand opening on January 4. But in the meantime, the kitchen is serving up a limited menu for breakfast and lunch at its shiny new digs on the ground floor of the Nichols building at 1644 Platte Street.

The morning menu (being served from 8 to 11 a.m.) includes breakfast sandwiches built on house-baked English muffins or bagels from Rosenberg's Deli, farro oatmeal, yogurt parfaits and breakfast sweets from pastry chef Michael Conti. There's also coffee from Boxcar Coffee Roasters, cold-pressed juice and other hot and cold beverages.

Dayton says dinner service could begin as early as Monday (pending a liquor license), but that the opening is still considered "soft" until January 4 and the building will be closed on the holidays. Once fully open, there will be beer, wine, batched cocktails and non-alcoholic house sodas on tap, along with kombucha and cold-brewed coffee. Lunch and dinner will feature rotisserie-cooked pork, lamb, and chicken in sandwiches, salads and dinnertime entrees.

Keep an eye out for daily and seasonal specials, like an inviting breakfast pizza topped with fried eggs that graced the chef's counter this morning.
