Unless you've been hibernating under a bun, you know that come Wednesday, the glorious Denver Burger Battle is back for another round of flame wars. This year's competition heats up at Sports Authority Field at Mile High at 7 p.m., and while we've already given away a pair of VIP tickets to the showdown, one of the participating restaurants -- Mateo, in Boulder -- is hoping its beef outshines the rest.

Mateo will go flame-to-flame against Larkburger, Citygrille, Crave Real Burgers, TAG, Highland Tap & Burger, Park Burger, Row 14 Bistro & Wine Bar, The Sink, Madison Street, ChoLon and H Burger Co at Wednesday's burger tournament, but Mateo's burger bangers also want to make sure that if you haven't snagged yourself a ticket to the event (a few general admission tickets are still available) that you can still cash in on the beef - in this case, Colorado sirloin burgers with caramelized onions, a ten-herb aioli (and cheese, if you roll that way) and a side of frites.

In order to be the lucky recipient, we're asking Cafe Society readers to tell us how many burgers Mateo served during the month of July.

The winner -- the person who comes the closest without going over -- will get a burger lunch for four, along with beers and a bragging rights Facebook photo of themselves with juice dribbling down their chins.

Think you have the right answer? Post your guesses in the comments section below, making sure to leave a valid e-mail address so we can get in touch with you if you emerge victorious.

We'll announce the winner on Friday.

Good luck!
