Monday, November 10

With the holidays quickly approaching, Seasoned Chef Cooking School is offering the Holiday Candy Box Class. You'll learn how to make a selection of decadent treats as tyou acquire he fundamental skills of sugar cookery, which can be tricky at high altitudes.The class will run from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and tuition is $65; click here for more information or to register for the class.

Tuesday, November 11

Seasoned Chef Cooking School will be offering a course on Eastern Mediterranean Tapas today from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m with chef Shellie Kark. To register for the course, $65, visit theseasonedchef.com.

Wednesday, November 12

Upslope Brewing Company is hosting a five-course progressive dinner featuring beer from Upslope; wine from BookCliff Vineyards, Settembre Cellars and What We Love The Winery; and coffee from Dragonfly Coffee Roasters -- all paired with food from BRU Handbuilt Ales & Eats. Each course will be served at a different location, all within walking distance of each other; the event begins at Upslope's Lee Hill tap room at 6 p.m. Tickets are $60, for more information, click here.

Friday, November 14

The ninth annual Taste of the Holidays will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Whole Foods Tamarac, with live music, food, beer, wine and spirits. Admission is $10 and proceeds will benefit the Denver Dumb Friends League; learn more ddfl.org.

Rose Levy Beranbaum will be talking about and signing copies of her book, The Baking Bible, at 7 p.m. today at The Tattered Cover on Colfax.

Arvada's Annual Wines for the Holidays will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Lamar Street Center. You can sample wines from Turquoise Mesa, Balistreri Vineyards, Spero Winery, Creekside Cellars, Augustina's Winery, Avanti Winery, Kingman Estates Winery, Verso Cellars and Redstone Meadery; hors d'oeuvres will be supplied by Lost Weekend Grill, 3 Sons Italian Restaurant & Bar, Cheesecake Therapy, La Patisserie Francaise, Kristo's Olive Oil, Luke's a Steak Place, Fuzzy's Taco Shop, Noodles & Company and JR's Smokehouse. There will also be live music, a silent auction, and more. Tickets are $35; you can get yours here.

For First Bite Boulder, more than fifty of Boulder's top restaurants will offer a special three-course, $27 prix fixe dinner menu to diners. Boulder's restaurant week kicks off today and runs through November 22; for more information, head to firstbiteboulder.com.
