On Sunday, September 20, Westword will host DISH, its 21st annual celebration of the Denver dining and drinking scene. More than forty favorite restaurants of Westword food writers and readers will be offering samples of delectable dishes at DISH; crowd-pleaser Patxi's Pizza will return, bringing meatballs and deep-dish pizza.

Patxi’s got its start in the summer of 2004 in Palo Alto, when a pizza lover and avid entrepreneur, Bill Freeman, partnered with an old friend and expert pizza maker, Francisco “Patxi” Azprioz. The result was a deep-dish, authentic “stuffed” pizza with two layers of dough and red sauce on top, made with the finest, freshest ingredients, Patxi says. That deep-dish pizza will be featured at DISH, as will Patxi's signature meatballs, made with a beef-and-pork mixture braised in-house and served with fresh parmesan and basil.

Both items are available on the regular menus at the three Patxi's locations in Denver.

DISH 2015 runs from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, in Sculpture Park at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Tickets — which include unlimited samples of food and drink — are $50 for general admission; the $85 VIP ticket includes early admission at 11 a.m. Buy your DISH tickets here — and if you use the promo code "Denverdish," you can still get a $25 GA ticket!
