First, Bravo Ristorante dropped is opera-singing waiters. Now the Supreme Court is closed for renovation (although its web site has yet to reflect that), and when it reopens, it will be as Katie Mullen's Irish Pub, the first location in this country for a family that owns four pubs in Ireland.
And that's just the start of the changes at the downtown Sheraton Hotel, formerly the Adam's Mark, which was purchased by Chartres Lodging last February. Soon Bravo will go the way of its opera singers, and be replaced by a new restaurant concept.
Sadly, Chartres seems in no hurry to replace those hideous ballerinas in front of the hotel, former owner Fred Kummer's artistic legacy to the city -- after he knocked down the I.M. Pei-designed hyperbolic paraboloid.
