One of five core beers that Fate plans to make, the stout is "an Americanized version of a Foreign Extra Stout," according to a statement from head brewer Jeff Griffith. "It has a strong coffee-like roasted barley flavor and prominent roasted malt aroma. The American citrus hops lead to a brightness on the palate with a moderately dry finish. This rich stout pairs well with hearty fare like steak, BBQ and chocolate desserts."
