Monday, August 20:It's National Lemonade Day! And California Pizza Kitchen is celebrating by donating 100 percent of lemonade sales from its six Colorado locations to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation -- a national nonprofit started by four-year-old Alexandra Scott (1996-2004) that raises funds for cancer research. The namesake chain will host the fundraiser through Friday, August 24; visit Alex's website for more info.
Tuesday, August 21:

Lala Wine Bar + Pizzeria, 410 East Seventh Avenue, presents an outdoor screening of Back to the Future at 8 p.m. tonight in the Governor's Park open space across the street from the restaurant. The Four Seasons Hotel Denver, 1111 14th Street, hopes to grant over fifty wishes for the Make-a-Wish Foundation with a Wine & Wishes benefit tonight from 6 to 10 p.m. Tickets to the wine-and-food pairing cost $75; learn more and purchase them here.Friday, August 24:Jax Fish House teamed up with Jack Rabbit Hill Winery to create special red and white oyster wines, both of which will be released today at Cured, 1825 Pearl Street in Boulder. There will be a tasting of the wines, oysters on the half shell and a discussion on how to pair wine with food -- and $2 of every bottle sold will be donated to the Growe Foundation. The second annual Truck It! party rolls into Boulder from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Gateway Park Center, 4800 28th Street. In addition to food, there will be live music, games and beer from Avery and Twisted Pine (proceeds from beer sales will benefit Parenting Place). Stage six of the USA Pro Challenge cycles into Boulder today and Flagstaff House, along with Boulder Wine Merchant, is cheering it on with a special viewing party. The event starts at 11 a.m. and includes a reception, followed by a four-course lunch and a front-row view of the race -- which passes by the restaurant. Admission costs $185 ($100 of which will be donated to the Davis Phinney Foundation) and seating is limited; call 303-442-4640 to grab one.
