Memorial Day is coming right up, but there are some memorable meals on the culinary calendar today, including a dinner at Panzano featuring the all-female Denver Five and a dinner at Frasca with winemaker Isabella Pelizzatti Perego. And this morning, any four-year-old visiting a Colorado McDonald's will not only get a free breakfast, but a free copy of this year's One Book 4 Colorado selection, Grumpy Bird. Keep reading for a taste of the rest of today's culinary calendar.

The McDonald's celebrations don't end with breakfast. Colorado Lieutenant Governor Joe Garcia will kick off the Colorado Literacy Week tour at the McDonald's at 16th and Cleveland Place at 11:30 a.m. today, when he'll read from Grumpy Bird -- and then performers from Stories on Stage, Cuentame un Cuentito will present a bilingual story from the show and a stage performance of Grumpy Bird. Find more details on the free meal deal here.

The all-star, all-lady FIVE lineup will be cooking a five-course meal at Panzano, including passed appetizers from each chef, entrées by chefs Jenna Johansen, Elise Wiggins, Carrie Blake and Aniedra Nichols, and dessert by Chef Nadine Donovan. Featured dishes include "Hot legs" frog legs, "Menage a trios" of pork and "We like big BUNdts" cake. Food will be served from 6 to 9 p.m. and tickets for the dinner are $75 per person and you can purchase them here. You can view the whole, titillating menu here.

And Frasca Food and Wine will return to its regular Monday Night Wine Dinner Series schedule with Isabella Pelizzatti Perego, enologist and owner of Valtellina's ArPePe winery, who'll lead guests through an all red flight of Chiavennasca. ArPePe is an acronym for Arturo Pelåizzatti Perego, who founded the winery in 1984. The wine flight is $48; find more information here.
