And speaking of the Super Bowl, Michael Hancock took time out from his busy mayoral duties welcoming the new Ruth's Chris Steak House to make a bet with Seattle's mayor, promising to send green chile from some of Denver's most iconic Mexican restaurants if the Broncos lose.
The opening of Ruth's Chris was notable, but so were some of this week's closings. Boulder has chased off another chain, for example: After twenty years, Pearl Street proved the pits for the Olive Garden.
