On Wednesday, Colorado will join the rest of the country in celebrating the magnificence that is the chicken wing during National Chicken Wing Day. But there are plenty of other noteworthy events on this week's culinary calendar; keep reading for all the juicy details.   

Monday, July 27
 

Frasca Food and Wine will conclude its July Monday Night Wine Dinner Series with the wines of Stelvio Selections, hosted by Craig Lewis. The dinners are $50 per person for four courses, not including the optional wine pairings that range from $45 to $50 per person. For reservations and more information, call Frasca at 303-442-6966.  

Tuesday, July 28 

Firenze a Tavola welcomes the Tuscan producers of Capezzana wines for a special wine dinner at 6:30 p.m. tonight. Guest speaker Emanuele Gastel, ambassador for the Capezzana Estate, will be on hand to speak about the wines that will be served with the five-course meal. Dinner with wine is $75; call 303-561-0234 to save your seat. 

Wednesday, July 29

Today is National Chicken Wing Day, and Hurricane Grill and Wings in Littleton is celebrating by offering guests an all-you-can-eat wing deal for just $12.99, your choice of flavors and subs. For more on this deal, call the restaurant at 303-573-8000.

Stoney's is celebrating the wing holiday by offering all-you-can-eat wings and beer specials, as well as hosting a chicken-wing-eating contest, with free beer for a year going to the winner. For more information, check out the event's Facebook page.

Boulder's West End Tavern is hosting its bi-annual Wing King Challenge today. For a $25 entry fee, contestants can try their hand at polishing off fifty wings in under thirty minutes. Those who finish the challenge get a Wing King T-shirt, his or her mug shot on the West End Tavern website, and a $25 Big Red F gift card. The king who cleans the bucket of wings the fastest gets free wings for a year, a $100 Big Red F gift card, a Wing King T-shirt, his or her mug shot on the wall of fame and on the West End’s website for eternity — and all the bragging rights that the title of Wing King entails. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot’s three-part Women & Whiskey Tasting Series continues today as participants explore bourbon and chocolate. The restaurant will be pouring Maker's Mark, Basil Hayden's and Bookers bourbons paired with small chocolate bites. The event gets under way at 7 p.m.; tickets are $25 each and can be purchased here.

Thursday, July 30 

Opus will be grilling for the Opus Garden Cookout starting at 6 p.m. today. The dinner will feature menu items created for this dinner, Bobby Harness playing jazz guitar and a special garden cocktail menu. Reservations are $40; make yours by calling 303-355-5853. 

Lower48 Kitchen and Black Shirt Brewing are teaming up for an all-you-can-eat seafood boil from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. You can dig in for $26, which includes a BSB beer. For reservations, call the restaurant at 303-942-0262. 

Wild Women Wine will host Grapes and Cakes from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight. Guests can enjoy wine and cupcakes while supporting the nonprofit Mercy Housing, who has thirteen properties across Colorado that provide safe, affordable housing to more than 2,000 low- and moderate-income residents. Park Burger Hilltop is letting Funkwerks and Station 26 Brewing Co. take over its taps for good causes from 6 to 9 p.m. this evening.
