Happy-Hour Roundup: New Spring Deals at Brider, Osaka Ramen and Sushi-Rama

Denver restaurants can live or die on the strength of their happy hours, and three of the city's buzziest new eateries have finally revealed what they're up to in the late-afternoon hours. Brider, the fine-casual outfit from Steve Redzikowski and Bryan Dayton of Acorn, along with Jeff Osaka's Sushi-Rama and twin Osaka Ramen outposts, are prepping for spring with tasty discounts on small plates and beverages.

Recently named Denver's Best Fast-Casual Concept, Brider wants to be a lot more than just a grab-and-go. Stick around for evening happy hour, offered Monday through Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m., and be rewarded with $3.50 select draft beers; $1 off all other drinks, like the new Manhattan and Negroni; and $2 pizza slices — new to the daily lineup of salads, baked treats and rotisserie-fired meats between bread — which have previously only run as a recurring special or egg-topped breakfast item. 
Sushi-Rama is also diving into the happy-hour swim. After it opened near the end of 2015 on upper Larimer Street, it was pretty clear that Jeff Osaka's third restaurant of the year was one joint well-suited to afternoon snacks and drinks. Prayers have been answered, as Sushi-Rama brings half-off glasses of wine, sake, Orion lager and Infinite Monkey Theorem cider from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Plus, all the plates coming down the line on the conveyor belt are just $3 apiece.
And starting this week, Osaka Ramen, both the original RiNo location and its sister in Cherry Creek, are celebrating happy hour with half off their dazzling list of small plates from Monday to Friday, 5 to 6 p.m. in RiNo and 3 to 5 p.m. in Cherry Creek. That means $3 okonomiyaki fries, onigiri for $1.50 a pop, and, yes, Osaka's famous Japanese Fried Chicken for $4, as well as half-price wines, sakes, Orion lager and cider. Making a meal out of snacks just got a bit more affordable.
