Hops and Handrails is back for its second year, and bigger then the first edition. The multi-brewery beer and snowboarding event has expanded its lineup of beer vendors from 24 to 37, as well as upping the stakes with its ramps and rails. Pro and amateur riders alike will be competing for cash prizes while spectators enjoy food, beer and even a mini-terrain park for the kids. Tickets for the event are $30 with beer and $10 without. The beer fest will run from noon to 4 p.m. and the rail jam from 1 to 5 p.m. at Left Hand Brewery in Longmont. To find out more, visit the Left Hand website.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door; profits from the evening will benefit the Peaceful Prairie Animal Sanctuary.
