And now, the couple is working on a follow-up: the Fatianows will open a second Indulge in Golden at the beginning of May.
The pair has inked a deal for a retail space in the heart of downtown at 13th and Washington in a building called the Gateway Station. "The owners of the Gateway Station in Golden are good customers of ours," Delinda explains. "They live in Gennessee. They came in and approached us and asked us to put a restaurant in the building. I've lived in Golden for the last 25 years, but recently moved to Highlands Ranch. I still have a home in Golden. I just think it's cool. There are so many activities in Golden, so many different events. It's amazing. There are always a lot of people walking around down there."
And the pair won't reinvent the wheel in this new spot; they've hired the same designer, says Delinda, though the interior will be a bit "more rustic," she also notes. They've built a patio at this location, too, and it will feature a fireplace and couches. And they'll still try to create a chic wine bar with bistro food for the neighbors.
But that doesn't mean there won't be any differences. "We're going to have beer on tap there," Delinda says. "We'll have Coors products, and we're hoping to get some of the Coors specialty beers. We don't have draft beers in Highlands Ranch." The Fatianows will also debut a brunch once they get the place open, which is also different than the southern outpost. And a private dining room will provide an intimate option for groups.
The couple will, however, continue expanding the wine classes they started at Highlands Ranch and grew into a city-wide -- and beyond -- program. "We'll definitely be teaching our wine education classes through Indulge Wine School at Golden," says Delinda. "A former employee of our restaurant started this new venture. We do different venues throughout the city of Denver and around the country."
Right now, the couple is putting the finishing touches on the space in preparation for opening. Delinda says they hope to start pouring sometime during the first week of May.
