Westword is taking the day off — why aren't you? After all, there's plenty of fun still to be had. Over at Civic Center Park, the gates for Taste of Colorado open 1t 10:30 a.m., with festivities continuing until 8 p.m. Bring cash for tasting tickets, which are $10 for fifteen. The Colorado State Fair ends its run today, but there are still plenty of funnel cakes and porkchops on a stick down in Pueblo. Find out all the details at coloradostatefair.com.

Salida will be all class during today's Salida Winefest. The festival will bring samples from a dozen wineries, as well as local food, music, and arts and crafts to River Side Park. La Biblioteca is hosting a Labor Day brunch today. From 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. you can enjoy $39 unlimited small plates and free flowing brunch cocktails and a bloody Mary bar. For reservations call the restaurant at 720-904-0965. 

Summer ain’t over yet! Lola is throwing a big ol’ BBQ on Labor Day with live music and some lip-smacking specials. Dig into beef ribs barbacoa, pollo asada, smoked chicken wings, and any of the restaurant's tacos, including chicken, fish, steak, octopus and shrimp. You can also expect happy-hour drink prices all night. The party runs from noon to 9 p.m. today; for reservations and more information, call Lola at 720-570-8686. 

The Post Brewing Company is holding a Labor Day celebration; the cooks will be grilling on the Yoder Smoker and serving up BBQ specials all day long. Doors open early at 11 a.m. and The Hop Pickers will perform 1 to 4 p.m. — and then the party will continue to roll until 8 p.m. For more information, call the Post at 303-593-2066. 

Frasca Food and Wine will explore the wines of Le Monde with guest Jamie Adams. The Monday Night Wine Dinners are $50 per person for four courses (not including the optional wine pairings, which range from $45-$50 per person). For reservations and more information call Frasca at 303-442-6966.
