I am pleased and excited to announce the opening of Lil' Devils Ultra Lounge and Video Bar. I will be leasing the building located at 255 South Broadway, the former Barker Lounge. I am writing to you and the Baker Community to inform you of my intentions and to be pro-active within the community.Let me introduce myself. My name is Tony Fleith, the owner of Chameleon Theme Productions, Inc. As I had mentioned above, we will be doing business as Lil' Devils. I have worked for the Barker Lounge for over six years. I have been in the bar business well over twenty years. I will be applying for a Tavern Liquor license and Cabaret license to occasionally provide light acoustic entertainment for holidays and special promotions. In a few weeks you will be notified be the City and County of Denver that I have applied for these licenses.
Our goal is to serve our customers responsibly with the utmost service and respect as well as provide a clean, safe, friendly and fun environment. I will strive to be pro-active with drug related issues with our type of business. I will post signs within the bar to include: "No drugs permitted on or within the premises. If you are caught using, selling. Or distributing of any type of drugs you will be prosecuted to the maximum and will be permanently banned from the premises."
My staff will be well educated about the most current laws and intervention procedures and practices. We will give back to our community with the use of charitable functions and promotions. It is our goal to be a good neighbor and an asset to the local community. I am aware of the neighborhood concerns which will be addressed below.
But, first I would like to tell you a little about Lil' Devils. The bar will cater to the Gay and Straight community with our target market ages 25 - 44. The interior will have a masculine appearance. Our music content will feature video music shown on our six TVs ranging from top 40 to country. Our staff will be highly educated on responsible serving and current laws. The bartending staff will be required to be certified under the ServeSafe alcohol certification course and Bar Smarts program within sixty days of their hire date and recertification every two years.
I am working with the property owner to address the exterior of the building. We will be repairing the fascia and gutters. We will be painting the exterior with an appeasing color scheme to create a subtle and pleasing feeling to blend in with the Baker Neighborhood. The fence neighboring the Conoco station will be repaired. The weeds along the parking lot sidewalk and sumac tress along the fence line will be removed.
