That's the new name for the former Fisher Clark Deli, 723 South University Boulevard, which owner Mary Clark recently put on the market so she could sojourn around the world, and was snapped up by Laurie Page and Stacy Irwin.
Before taking over the popular Bonnie Brae sandwich shop last Monday, Page and Irwin ran Gift of Comfort, a catering company in northwest Denver. And catering, says Stajcar, will be a large part of the new operation. "This was a great opportunity for us to expand the catering side of the business," she explains, adding that breakfast, a coffee bar, new sandwiches and soups, and a dinner-of-the-month club every Thursday night are also in the works.
"Our whole goal is to accessorize what we have and just make it better, so we're opening the store for breakfast, adding an Italian sausage sandwich and a Philly cheesesteak to the menu, expanding our signature soups and offering a four-course to-go dinner every Thursday night that people can take home with them and just pop in the oven," says Stajcar. Breakfast will begin on Tuesday, June 1, and include bagel sandwiches, breakfast burritos and pastries.
"We're adding a lot of new pastries, and we've already incorporated custom cakes, cupcakes and cream puffs," says Stajcar, noting that Page and Irwin retained the former master bakers who worked for Clark. "They're fantastic, and so are the sandwich makers, so we're happy to say that they're all still with us."
