This week you can stick to your resolution to eat healthy and still eat well, thanks to a new dinners series at Lower48 Kitchen, which we named the Best New Restaurant in the 2014 Best of Denver. If you resolved to pour some more fun into your life, there are plenty of events for you this week, too. And if you want to do good in 2015, note that the Melting Pot locations in Littleton and Louisville will be donating a portion of the sales from their Charity Wine Dinner Special this month to the Denver Police Foundation. At $100 per couple, the deal features a four-course fondue dinner and a bottle of wine. Keep reading for a taste of what else is on the culinary calendar for this first full week of January

Monday January 5

For Frasca Food and Wine's first Monday Night Wine Dinner of 2015, Phil Laramore, wine importer with Ronc di Vico, will be pouring wines that are rich yet very detailed, and the whites are particularly full of liveliness and zip, Frasca reports. Tuesday, January 6

Lower48 Kitchen's Mario Nocifera and chef Alexander Figura will launch a new weekly dinner series today. Tuesday Tastings will give guests a chance to indulge in an accessible, three-course menu for $36. The January line-up has been designed to help keep guests' New Year's resolutions in check with dishes that are full-flavored but low in fat. Wednesday, January 7

Head to Cook Street School of Culinary Arts from 6 to 9:30 p.m. today and take a culinary journey around the world that will provide some global inspiration for your menu. Explore the exotic ingredients and classic dishes of Thailand during the A World of Taste: Thai. The class features a meal complete with wine and dessert, all for $89; register here.

Thursday, January 8

Big Beers Festival will kick off a weekend of beer and brewing in Vail today.The fifteenth annual edition of this three-day event includes thirteen workshops and seminars, as well as Brewmasters' Dinners and a Welcome Reception that will feature craft beer and food pairings. Friday, January 9

The Walnut Room will celebrate its tenth anniversary today by throwing a party from 5 to 11 p.m. This birthday bash will feature drink specials, complimentary appetizers and pizza, and free performances by Adrienne O, Andy Palmer, Roo & The Howl, Matt Hoffman of Strange Americans and DJ Social Lubrication.
