Lower48 Kitchen's Departure Won't Affect the Inventing Room's Opening

The news yesterday that Lower48 Kitchen will be shutting down on November 7 at the corner of 21st and Lawrence streets brought with it curiosity about the situation of the Inventing Room, scheduled to open on October 31 in a space that was once Lower48's Service Bar concept. "Does this impact The Inventing Room?" asks reader David Schultz.

The soon-to-open dessert bar's chef-owner Ian Kleinman says that his lease is through the building and is not associated with the neighboring restaurant, so the closure does not affect his plans. "Sorry they closed and won't be there," Kleinman notes — but otherwise it's full steam ahead for the Inventing Room.
