Rackhouse Pub
The official Shave the Date party to start Movember with a clean face will be taking place at Rackhouse Pub tonight from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Guests who donate $5 or more will receive a free pint from Dry Dock Brewing Company, and Ollie's Barbershop will be there to shave faces for free. There will also be a silent auction, where all Movember teams from Denver can bring items and services to be auctioned off, with 100 percent of the proceeds going toward the cause.

Larkburger
Larkburger's team, Mo Bros and Mo Sistas, now has 47 members and is ranked #52 of all the U.S. teams. The company is making a $25 donation for every employee who participates, and is also encouraging customers to join. "It's as simple as the fact that cancer has affected just about every life in one way or another," says Adam Baker, president of Larkburger, a Colorado-based burger chain with nine locations in the state, including one at 340 East Alameda Avenue.
"This is a really cool and fun way to raise money for a cause that affects everyone." Each customer who becomes part of the team will receive a Burger on Us card, and will be entered weekly into a raffle for gift cards. The team member who raises the most funds will win Larkburger for a year.

Wild EggsBreakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant Wild Eggs, which has one restaurant (so far) in Denver, also has a team on Movember and Sons; it currently has five members. The Kentucky-based chain is encouraging customers to join its team, and new members will receive a $5 gift card plus a chance to win prizes. "Men's health, like women's health, is important to Wild Eggs. This year, we started a Movember team because it's a fun way to get our staff and friends involved to raise awareness and money for a good cause," says Mike Rothberg, owner of Wild Eggs. The campaign will continue until December. Countries from around the world are raising funds through the Movember and Sons site, and so far have collected more than $9 million. For more information, visit the Movember website.
