Emily and Chris Deutschman, owners of Magnolia Restaurant & Sushi Bar, in Lafayette, are opening kaTcH Fish House in June at 1300 Pennsylvania Street, in the former home of Pizzicato Pizza. "The restaurant concept emphasizes seafood recipes found on the East Coast, West Coast and Gulf of Mexico," notes the website. The goal, says the Deutschmans, is to "bring the oceans to the mountains."

The fast-casual restaurant, designed to resemble a modernized seafood shack, will serve everything from housemade Old Bay potato chips, gumbo and Maryland crab soup to salmon burgers, po' boys and "Katchers," a catch-all plate of fish-- ahi tuna, shrimp skewers, salmon and tilapia -- side dishes and sauce. "It'll be more affordable than a full service restaurant yet healthier, cleaner and further evolved than our typical fast food stops," says the Deutschmans.

Look for a June 1 opening. For more info, call 720-328-1616.
