Parisi, 4401 Tennyson Street, marks the real start of summer tonight by introducing a four-course, hot weather menu at Firenze A Tavola: panzanella salad; tagliatelle pasta with asparagus, wild mushrooms and truffles; Milanese breaded pork chop with lemon aioli; wilted arugula with grilled fennel, pickled onion, carrots, artichokes and peppers; and lemon sorbet with drunken stone fruit, all for $30 per person. The dinner is held downstairs at the community table, and dishes are served family-style. For reservations, call 303-561-0234.

Also tonight, the Colorado Chapter of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation is holding its Summer Solstice Appetizer Challenge and Cocktail Party, featuring Top Chef Season 5 contestant (and sous at Boulder's Happy Noodle House) Melissa Harrison, local food writer Stacey Brugeman and Colorado Avalanche defenseman John-Michael Liles judging small plates from Bistro One, Brasserie Felix, Encore and Root Down, at the Jet Hotel, 1612 Wazee Street. The event begins at 6 p.m. and tickets, which can be purchased online at www.ChristopherReeve.org/SummerSolsticeColorado, are $45 or $50 at the door.
