Holiday shopping is rarely this sweet. Denver Beer Co offered guests the chance to sample three beers paired with three pies from Maple Street Pie bakers at its Pints & Pies event last Thursday. There was a sour saison with spiced ginger apple; graham cracker porter with chocolate bourbon pecan; and imperial pumpkin with pumpkin pie in a ginger snap crust. Customers who liked what they tasted could pre-order holiday desserts and growlers to be picked up on November 27, the day before Thanksgiving.
